If they use Unreal Engine, they\'ll have to completely remake the game. Best bet is to stick with Torque. Plus, they\'ll have to learn the new engine.

Thanks,

just thought i would post about this and get everyone\'s opinion about what this means for indie teams and modders. i think its a huge win for us modders and indie developers. first Unity now UE3 is free whats next lol dont get me wrong i really like the Torque Engine. the UDK has more features in it now then the Unreal Engine 3 games had when they were being made that have been released up until now.

I have tried a lot of different game engines i.e. 3d game studio, 3d rad, Torque game engine and lots more but I have to say that this is the best one. it has the most features and most detailed games can be formed with this engine. the unreal engine 2 was better than all the others so this shows that this one is much better.

It\'s awesome that Epic released UDK. Giving such power to hobbyists and indies is pure gold.
I just downloaded it and will check it out this weekend. But i doubt we will port it. First i\'m not that familiar with unreal and it\'s editors, second a port will cost a lot of time.
There are some advantages: like the graphic engine and much better physics.
Everyone engine has it\'s pro\'s and coins :P
