Game progression and unlocks?

In some games when you progress through the game or reach a certain number of kills or time , or score you are given the option to unlock a certain weapon or feature within the game. It will either help you or give you a stat upgrade. This is just an idea, but might be worth looking into.

We have been thinking about this and if we add this feature (unlockable items) to the game it would be only for the Co-op mode and not Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, cause of the possible unfair player advantage.

But so far it hasn\'t been decided if it will make to the game.

Thats very reasonable, keeping the deathmatch and team deathmatch on a level playing makes for  fair play.

I think that is a great way to do it. keeps it all fair. maybe add a soldier/pilot rank stat or something along those lines. that will bring tons of fun and give people something to play for.

Yeah. even if it is just to get a rank and a rank emblem on your name it will bring more play-life. and alot of kewlness lol

I was just thinking while writing some of the missions.... How about inbetween every five or so missions i include a challenge mission. as a means to test your skills as you further play the game. example being. How many enemys can you kill before being killed or until time runs out.  Just a thought.
